Founded in 2009, the Miss High School America Pageant is dedicated to empowering young women by providing them with personal and professional opportunities. We inspire Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate girls through our prestigious National-level scholarship pageant, celebrating their leadership and achievements. Join us in uplifting the next generation of remarkable young women!
ELEMENTARY DIVISION
The Miss Elementary America Pageant was introduced in 2019 as a division of the Miss High School America organization. This scholarship pageant is designed for girls from Pre-K to 6th grade. Our program fosters an interest in community service and paves the way for future participation in the Miss High School America pageant, helping girls build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and shine on a national stage.
We will crown 10 divisions
Your division is the grade you will be going into in the Fall of 2026
ELEMENTARY
Pre-K
Kindergarten
1st Grade
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
4th Grade
5th Grade
JR. HIGH - (6th grade - 8th grade)
HIGH SCHOOL - (9th grade - 11th grade)
COLLEGIATE - 12th grade in high school is considered a Collegiate contestant in this pageant. If enrolled in college, you can be enrolled at a college, university, graduate school, tech/trade school, or beauty school in DC, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania or outside of those as long as your permanent residence when not in school is in DC, Maryland, Delaware, or Pennsylvania. Classes can be both in person or online. The District of Columbia Collegiate contestant must be no older than 28 as of June 1, 2027.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Contestants must be a natural born female, not married (or never have been married or had a marriage annulled). Contestant cannot currently be pregnant or have ever been pregnant. Contestant must be of good character with no criminal background and no criminal charges currently against them.
WHERE DOES THE DC STATE TITLE LEAD TO?
Jr. High, High School and Collegiate Divisions:
The girls who become our DC state queens in the Jr. High, High School and Collegiate divisions will go on to compete at the Miss High School America National Pageant in Little Rock, Arkansas in June/July 2027. Their entry fee will be paid for by the VA/DC state director. It is mandatory that they attend Nationals.
Elementary Division:
The girls who become our DC state queens in these grade divisions will have the "option" to go on to compete at Nationals in Little Rock in June 2027. It is not mandatory that an DC Elementary State Queen goes to Nationals, but most do, and there's so much fun to be had there that they will not want to miss it.
